Mandalas and zentangles for therapy and self care
We're delighted to welcome Tracy Dunning and Nina Ramsay to deliver this experiential creative workshop. A perfect opportunity to learn new skills whilst taking some time for self care at the end of a busy year.
Lead facilitator Tracy is a qualified Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor, Northeast Ambassador for Creative Counsellor, who has contributed to Tanja Sharpe’s Creative Counselling book. Co-facilitating is Nina Ramsay, a qualified Art Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. Nina facilitates experiential cpd workshops, Restorative Supervision and holds a number of other roles outside of but linked to the therapy world. The workshop will include a brief outline of ways in which you can use mandalas and zentangles as a way of relaxing or as a tool to take into therapy sessions.
You will have access to a range of materials to try, including; ready made templates, paper, stones, leaves and sticks, and small flat wooden Christmas baubles and mini paint pots and brushes.
Everyone who attends will receive a goody bag of materials to take home.
Tickets cost £25, the proceeds of which will go directly to funding private counselling and psychotherapy for adults in Gateshead and Newcastle who wouldn’t otherwise be able to access it.
The location is ReCoCo (Recovery College Collective), 4th Floor, 1 Carliol Square, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE1 6UF. Access via lift or stairs. A short walk from Manors multistory car park (there's a walkway from level 3 of the car park) and Manors Metro station.
Open to everyone working, volunteering or training in the helping and caring professions, and anyone else who is interested.
We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits (including vegan and gluten free). Feel free to bring anything else you might want.
Cancellation policy: We are unable to refund tickets cancelled less than one week before the event.
